DAY 1 – BUFFALO,  NEW YORK – NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO, CANADA -  This morning we meet at the Jackson International Airport for our Southwest Airlines flight to Buffalo, New York. On arrival in Buffalo we board our motorcoach and travel to the Canadian border, clearing customs with our Passport, we continue to Niagara Falls. On arrval in Niagara Falls we check in our hotel on the Falls. This evening we depart for the Top of the Skylon Tower where we enjoy our Welcome Dinner in the revolving dining room. The lighted view of the falls is an awesome sight from this vantage point. We return to our hotel for the evening. (D)

 

DAY 2 – NIAGARA FALLS – TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA – Checking out of our hotel this morning we are met by our step-on-guide to share with us the City of                                                                                                                                           Niagara Falls. Following our tour we depart for Toronto, the Capital of Ontario. We will have lunch on our own before being joined in Toronto by our step-on-guide. Our guide will share with us the highlights of this city that is alive with Victorian buildings and has over 200 parks. After our tour we will check in our hotel. Toronto is known as the Broadway of Canada with all the top shows playing year round. You will have the evening free so you may decide to enjoy one of the shows available.

 

DAY 3 – KINGSTON, ONTARIO, CANADA – 1000 ISLANDS - OTTAWA , ONTARIO, CANADA  – This morning  we board our motorcoach for Ottawa. As we travel today we make a stop in Kingston to enjoy a scenic lunch/ sightseeing cruise of the 1000 Islands. Some of these islands in the St. Lawrence are mere points of rock, others are village size, but most can accommodate only a home or summer camp. Numerous old stone mansions and colonial houses dot the islands, and markers have been placed here commemorating the French and Indian War and the War of 1812. After the cruise we board our motorcoach and continue on to Ottawa. On arrival we check in our hotel for the next two nights.(L)

 

DAY 4 – OTTAWA – CANADIAN TULIP FESTIVAL – We are in for a treat as we are joined by our step-on-guide to spend the day with us to tour the city and enjoy the Canadian Tulip Festival – claiming to be the world’s largest tulip festival. In 1945, the Dutch Royal family sent 100,000 tulip bulbs to Ottawa in gratitude for Canadians having sheltered Princess Juliana and her daughters for the preceding three years during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in the Second World War. In 1946, Juliana sent another 20,500 bulbs and an additional 10,000 more promised each year to be used to construct a display at the Ottawa Civic Hospital to show her appreciation to the hospital for officially declaring it to be a temporary part of the Netherlands, so that the birth of Princess Margriet could be on Dutch territory. The tulips now number well over  three million.

After our city tour we travel the tulip route and stop to visit Major Hill Park this afternoon.  Major Hill Park’s International Pavilion will have represented  over 15 Embassy’s and community groups providing outstanding entertainment on the international stage and delicious variety of foods from around the world you may select from for lunch with your coupons provided. Following a full day we return to our hotel and you will have an evening free to enjoy on your own.                      (L Coupons)

 

DAY  5 – CANANDIAGUA, NEW YORK – ROCHESTER, NEW YORK – Following breakfast, we depart and cross back into the United States after clearing customs. On our way to Rochester we make a stop in Canandiagua to visit the beautiful Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion. We enjoy a tour of the gardens and the Victorian mansion. We continue on to Rochester where we have reservations for the next two nights. This evening we will enjoy a narrated dinner cruise on the Colonial Belle.(D)

 

DAY 6 – ROCHESTER, NEW YORK – LILAC FESTIVAL -  This morning we are joined by our step-on-guide for a city tour of Rochester.  Visiting during the annual Lilac Festival is a great time to be in the city.There is so much to enjoy on our tour. We will  visit Highland Park to see some of the more than 500 bushes of lilacs in bloom. There will be a variety of entertainment in the Park as well. Before we finish our day we will be visiting the George Eastman Mansion and Garden before our guide departs. (L Coupons)

 

DAY 7 – BUFFALO – HOME – This morning we check out of our hotel and board our motorcoach for Buffalo. On arrival at the Buffalo airport we check-in for our return flight home.
